My oldest is a junior in homeschool high school right now. I have spent the last 3.5 years reading online discussion groups and books about homeschooling high school. JUNIOR YEAR IS THE KEY is a fantastic summary of everything you need to know about the junior year, which is a very important year for both homeschooled and schooled kids.Since I am not a newbie to this information I did not learn anything new but since I already know a fair amount I can say this is thorough and accurate.I highly recommend this little eBook for a concise summary of what the junior year must include for all college bound homeschoolers. The topics covered are: assessing gaps, ideals for credits in each subject matter for all of high school, planning academics, doing extra-curriculars, taking the PSAT, and taking the SAT and/or ACT as well as SAT subject tests. How one may count SAT prep classes as courses is discussed. Finding colleges using a college fair and doing college visits is here also. Those are the main topics of this eBook. My only caution is if you already have homeschooled through the junior year with at least one child you will already know all of this.I rate this book 5 stars = I Love It because it is a nicely written summary about the junior year, it’s accurate, and as with all of Lee Binz’s books, it is encouraging! I recommend that parents with kids in grade 7 or 8 read this for the first time then re-read it once each year in grades 9, 10, and the summer before grade 11. Since it’s about 40 pages this is simple and you will be glad to have all this information in one easy to access location.
