I am a parish PREP teacher who was shocked to see how little my students knew about the Bible, including such classic stories as Noah and the Ark. I trusted that Loyola and Amy Welborn would do an excellent job, and was not disappointed. I plan to use this as a study aid in conjunction with the study books we already use. The questions at the end provide some thought-provoking discussions with my students, but in a non-threatening manner. I bought 2 more of this book to give to my children for use with my grandchildren, so they won't be Biblical illiterates, and may be drawn to read more of the Bible.I do agree with another reviewer that I would have liked to have seen more of the Old Testament stories included. But since the author was highlighting weekly mass readings, I can see why it is structured this way. Perhaps Amy's next book for Loyola could be "The Old Testament, Path That Leads to Christ".Perfect book for parent who want read with their children to pass on the faith.
